Audrey, a character based off the YouTube channel Save B4 Loading https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjsH_Wxape2JmPfjK_CejEA
This character is an non-fungible token collectible. It is the first of a virtual toy and avatar collection under Virtual Dispensary: https://opensea.io/accounts/VirtualDispensary
Both toybox and avatar are 3D assets that can be viewed and interactive in blockchain virtual worlds.
Audrey is both a collectible toy box, as well as a playable avatar.
The avatar is presently programmed to interact with Somnium Space, a virtual VR world that runs its economy on the blockchain: https://somniumspace.com/
The character model was sculpted in Zbrush. A low-poly version was constructed with Blender. This is because of the optimization requirements of the virtual world. The low-poly version was used to create both the toybox and avatar versions. After unwrapping and baking texture maps, I imported the character into 3DCoat the hand-paint.
The toybox version:
The toybox was modeled in Blender and textured in Photoshop. I then imported the character and toybox into Keyshot for rendering.
The avatar version:
The avatar was rigged in Blender and then imported into Unity3D. With the Somnium Space SDK, I was able to program the character to work for the VR virtual world. The avatar comes with lip-syncing, finger tracking, and a custom toon shader.
